It seems a long time since Kawasaki first announced its plans for a supercharged motorcycle range back in 2013 – and even longer since we scooped those plans in the distant days of 2010 – but after a couple of quiet years the firm is about to take the next big step forward with the announcement of a new supercharged ‘Z’ model.
Following on from 2015’s H2 and H2R, and the H2 SX sports tourer that joined the range in 2018, all indications are that the next model will be a naked bike.
The only official information at the moment is a teaser video from Kawasaki that shows a supercharger’s spinning compressor wheel, overlaid with the firm’s ‘Z’ logo and accompanied by a single line of text reading: “Supercharged Breaking News: More Kawasaki major news arrives soon – Feel the Force!”
