Briton Hayley Bell and her pals have started the Women Riders World Relay, which will have routes in Australia and New Zealand in August and September.

Already more than 14,000 women from more than 80 countries have signed on to get involved.  The relay started late last month in the UK and will finish next January in Africa, having circumnavigated the world.

“I wanted to ignite a global sisterhood of inspirational women to promote courage, adventure, unity and passion for biking from all corners of the world and do something that’s never been done before to this scale,” says Bell, who is taking of a possible Guinness Book of Records entry. “I want to show the force behind the market that is so blindly overlooked.” For more information  head to www.womenridersworldrelay.com
