Straight off the back of the release of the new Street Triple RS, Triumph has also released details of its new LAMS approved Street Triple S. Key elements of the Moto2- inspired RS appear on the updated version of the current LAMS Street Triple S, which will go on sale in Australia and New Zealand before the rest of the world.
The DOHC 660cc triple produces 39.7kW at 11,250rpm with a strong 61Nm of torque at 6000rpm. RS derived beam twin-spar frame and gull-wing swingarm, high specification Showa suspension and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres promise agile handling and combine with ABS, traction control, dual riding modes (Road and Rain), to create what Triumph describes as “the perfect all-rounder”
New sporty, angular bodywork and twin LED headlights with position light bring the styling into line with its larger capacity RS sibling.
Pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
