Produced in collaboration with the British Ministry of Defence, the Classic 500 Pegasus Edition was recently launched at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford in the UK.
The classic 500 Pegasus is a tribute to royal Enfield’s involvement in the second world war and the resilient 125cc motorcycle designed to be deployed behind enemy lines via parachutes and onboard the Horsa Glider aircraft to provide communications support and quick mobility for the forward units of the Airborne Pegasus Regiment.
It is evident throughout the styling of the classic 500 Pegasus that it is tribute with its rustic army green paint and retro seating style. The Pegasus’ edition will come with the 499cc single cylinder fuel injected engine that comes with the standard classic 500.
Only 100 units of the Pegasus will be build and will come in either Green or Service Brown. The Classic 500 Pegasus Edition is expected to be available in Australia and New Zealand in July 2018.
