A new-look interactive Sydney Motorcycle Show will run alongside Round 3 of the 2019 Australian Supercross Championship in Wollongong over 8-10 November, and organisers of the newly named Australian Motorcycle Festival believe it’s how motorcycling should be presented to the wider public.

The venues of Wollongong’s Lang Park and WIN Stadium will create a unique visitor experience in New South Wales with over 20,000 square-metres of outdoor space hosting displays and demonstrations of the latest motorcycles, scooters, ATVs UTVs, trikes and jet-skis as well as related products and services.

Over 40,000 visitors are expected to head to Wollongong making it one of the largest motorcycle events in Australia.

Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle says running the Australian Supercross Championship alongside the Australian Motorcycle Festival opens new doors for consumers.

“To have the Supercross run side-by-side with the Motorcycle Festival is great for the industry,” he says.

With the biggest challenges facing motorcycling today being rider participation and getting non-motorcyclists on two wheels, the inaugural Australian Motorcycle Festival event has huge potential. The success of this event could be a blueprint for similar expos around Australia.

The new location outside inner-Sydney provides an opportunity for expansion of interactive elements, such as test rides, live motorcycle demonstrations including safety and stunt riding. Test rides will also take place on the water with a range of PWCs.

Tickets will go on sale Monday 29 April via Ticketmaster with tickets starting from $30.
