Australian electric motorcycle manufacturer, Savic Motorcycles has announced the launch of an equity crowdfunding campaign in partnership with Equitise, that offers riders the opportunity to climb aboard with the fledgling company as it takes its next step in what is described as “the evolution of motorcycling in Australia”.
Since 2016 Savic Motorcycles has been pushing the boundaries of design from its base in West Melbourne, winning a clutch of awards and receiving recognition from electric-vehicle advocates around the world.
Savic has now kicked off a crowdfunding campaign that will enable customers and local riders to join them on their mission to deliver Australian bikes to the world.
The campaign will fund the production of the first 100 units of the company’s C-Series electric café racer, which has earned four major design awards in the run-up to securing regulatory compliance from the Federal Government late last year.
Funds from the campaign will also support the launch of international exports for the Melbourne manufacturer, which has attracted global attention for its C-Series Alpha model that is claimed to produce over 200Nm of torque and accelerate from 0-100km in 3.5 seconds. The Alpha sports a 16.2kWh battery and can be charged via any home socket.
Savic says that it already has ‘pre-order’ commitments from more than 250 motorcyclists, equating to over $6 million in future revenue.
Starting from $19,990 ride away for the entry-level C-Series Delta model, the company’s mission is to provide competitively-priced, high-performance bikes direct to customers that will put Australia on the motorcycle map. Its funding campaign will allow investors to secure shares and play an active role in the next stage of growth of one of Australia’s most dynamic motorcycle companies.
