OpenRoads Rally, Australia’s largest adventure motorcycle event, is back in 2023.
We all watch the Dakar and wonder – Could I do that someday? How hard is it? – because the jump between being an average punter and doing a long-distance enduro competition seems almost superhuman.
OpenRoads Rally aims to give a taste of what’s involved, in a relaxed environment, to encourage people to take up the sport and improve their skills.
Hosted at Myrtleford Showgrounds Victoria on March 10-13 2023, OpenRoads Rally is open to all experience levels and ages, with a focus on roadbook navigation and skills training to empower riders’ thrill-seeking confidence.
During the weekend riders can participate in a range of activities such as the dirt track, barrel race, enduro course and navigation challenge – all of which are big bike and beginner friendly.
The weekend kicks off Friday 10 March with a half day session of training with pro rider Miles Davis to get riders warmed up (additional cost, bookings required).
Approximately 500 people are expected to attend OpenRoads Rally Myrtleford, plus trade stalls and spectators.
Cost is $350 per person and includes 3 nights of camping.
Tickets available at openroadsrally.com until 9th March 2023, or until sold out.
