The Indian and Victory brands were welcomed to Perth on Saturday 8th October with a legendary Grand Opening. Over 2,000 people braved the unseasonal wet weather to visit the new flagship store, located at 1429 Albany Highway, Cannington.
Through the course of the morning actor and entertainer Shane Jacobson energised and amused the masses with the help of local music brands, fashion parades by SAINT clothing, vintage motorcycle displays and an American Show and Shine. Perth motorcyclists also took the opportunity to inspect America’s oldest and newest motorcycle brands, Victory and Indian whilst relishing the hospitality spread across the 1750 square metre dealership.
Attendees had the chance to go into the draw to win the major prize of an Indian Scout worth $20,000. Registering throughout the morning, four minor prize winners were drawn, who then had the opportunity to pick the one key out of a helmet that started the brand new Indian Scout. An ecstatic Mark Smith was the lucky winner who was joined on stage by Aussie rock legend and Indian ambassador Ian Moss to celebrate the moment.
The Grand Opening, culminated with an invite only function that evening with 300 owners and VIPs being treated to a live acoustic performance by Ian Moss.
The largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, the new flagship store displays over 80 Indian and Victory Motorcycles and a state of the art Service Department. The new store is home to Western Australia’s largest demonstrator fleet as well as a huge range of genuine accessories for both brands and the popular Indian and Victory fashion collections.
Country Manager for Motorcycle, Peter Harvey said: “The Motorcyclist of Western Australia have waited a long time for Indian and Victory Motorcycles to arrive in Perth, the wait is finally over. There is no better way to announce our arrival than with one huge party.”
