Pierer Industrie AG, the parent company of KTM, Husqvarna and WP Suspension, has invested in American-based Heads-Up Display (HUD) firm NUVIZ with fruits from the deal expected to hit the market within months.
According to reports, the deal investment was upwards of US$5 million (A$6.5 million) and includes a seat on the tech company’s board of directors.
“This is very exciting for NUVIZ as it is a testament to our technology leadership in the HUD and connected riding space,” NUVIZ’ founder Malte Laass said. “And [it] further emphasises the demand and need for the user experiences we have set out to create.”
It seems BMW isn’t the only motorcycle marque looking to create its own form of connected HUD riding systems.
