Forget the likes of active suspension and inertial measurement units, Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ Japanese website is announcing the firm is hard at work on developing artificial intelligence (AI) for its motorcycles.
It would mean an AI-capable ECU which wouldn’t require your input in terms of settings and adjustments of the bike’s electronic systems, rather it would learn your riding style and capabilities and give you the optimum setting you probably didn’t know you needed.
According to Kawasaki, the bike would have its own “personality to grow along with the rider”. It mentions “conversations” between rider and machine, though we suspect this isn’t literal and is a result of the translation from Japanese to English. We’re not sure we’re ready for a talking motorcycle.
