Jack Mahaffy was simply on fire as he scored pole position and the three race wins from three starts, which has seen him sky rocket from tenth place in the championship to fourth place, just two points behind Corey Briffa in third.

“Three out of three wins is a really good weekend,” said Mahaffy. “I simply just went out there and did what I could and managed to pull it off today.”

“Accuracy and agility was the key this weekend,” explained the JDS Moto pilot. “Being able to get the Yamaha YZF-R3 from side to side has been my strong point and getting right up close to those curbs.”

Mahaffy is more than confident now heading into the next round, which will take place at Queensland’s Morgan Park in August.

“We’ll have to hit the reset button and start from there. Overall but, I’m stoked to have had a weekend like this. I just hope I can continue the form now,” concluded Mahaffy.

Second went to Hunter Ford who scored a 4-2-2 result. In third place overall with a 3-3-4 result was championship leader Jack Passfield.

The next round of the YMF R3 Cup will take place at Morgan Park Raceway on 25-27 August, which will be the fifth round for the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship.
