The reborn Lambretta GmbH is a joint venture between Lambretta Consortium in Switzerland and the Austrian KSR Group to develop the V-Special range.

“It is an honour to be able to work with Lambretta, a globally recognised, authentic and historically renowned Italian scooter icon,” said Lambretta Australia brand manager Goetz Neugebauer.

The new range consists of six models first seen at last November’s EICMA Motorcycle Expo in Milan.

Innovative motorcycle design company Kiska, which has also worked with KTM, Husqvarna and CFMoto, has gone back to Lambretta’s roots to create a modern scooter that remains true to the company’s key heritage styling and features.

Lambretta Scooter

A steel body, interchangeable side panels, iconic Lambretta fixed front fender, aluminium highlights and modern LED lights feature.

Three engine sizes will initially be offered – 50cc, 125cc and 200cc – followed by a 400cc version and even an electric variant.

Customers will be able to mix and match a range of side panel styles, shapes and colours to build their personal scooter, a unique feature for the brand.

Diehard fans will be pleased to know there are plans to eventually reintroduce the iconic GP and SX classic Lambretta models that powered the Mods of the 1960s.

Pricing and an Australian dealer network will be announced in July, with models scheduled to launch soon after. Visit www.lambrettaaustralia.com.au for more info.
