A handful of lucky riders will be able to secure themselves the brand-new CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade for an MLP $49,999, with pre orders now open. This street legal, track ready machine is due to arrive in Australia in Q2 of 2020.

Tipped as the best of the best, the most exclusive, feature-rich open-class Supersport Honda has ever built under the CBR banner.

Providing a degree of performance and refinement, you’ve likely never experienced—unless you’ve had a factory ride. Offering Honda’s famous CBR fine-tuning, build quality, and rideability. Get ready to find out why World Champions like Marc Márquez ride red and why you should too.

There is no doubt the Fireblade SP is built with an unwavering focus on circuit riding with unprecedented levels of performance and control.

The inline four-cylinder engine draws heavily on the RC213V-S’s combustion efficiency and low-friction technologies, while also sharing its bore and stroke. It also features titanium con-rods and forged aluminium pistons, drastically reducing weight.

The Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), system automatically adjusts engine power to optimize torque at the rear wheel, reducing rear-wheel slip. You get your choice of five power curves, ten torque-control levels, three engine-braking levels and now three selectable levels of wheelie control so it’s easier than ever to dial your bike in at the track. A quick shifter is standard.

The aluminium diamond frame features a longer RCV213V-S-style swingarm, with six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), 3-level Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) and second-generation Öhlins Smart Electronic Control (S-EC) suspension and user interface. New Brembo Stylema brake callipers bite 330mm discs through 2-level ABS.

The CBR1000RR-R SP will be the only Fireblade variant available for the Australian market, offered in an HRC-inspired Grand Prix Red (tri colour) or a Matte Pearl Black.
