Lightning Motorcycles’ LS-218 electric superbike, which has hit 350.8km/h at Bonneville, is claimed to be the fastest electric motorcycle on sale. But its starting price of $A54,000 is as scary as its top speed.
However, it has announced an $A18,000 version available from March and claimed to have a range of 241.4km, a top speed of 241.4km/h and charging time of just 35 minutes when attached to a DC fast-charger.
Zero’s hero
Although Zero doesn’t currently sell into Australia its upcoming SR/F naked sports bike is looking to be a gamechanger. Promising to be the fastest, most advanced Zero yet, and using an all-new platform, full details will be released in a few weeks.
