Jack Miller is looking forward to rest of the flyaway rounds after an encouraging performance at the Thai GP.
Miller made a strong start at Buriram on Sunday – the first of four flyaway races this year – making up three places on the first three corners.
The Australian battled with the front group before his tyres began degrading, slipping as low as 12th before finishing 10th – the same position he qualified in.
“It was a good race and, if I have to be honest, I had a lot of fun,” said the Alma Pramac rider.
“Unfortunately, I struggled with the rear tyre right from the start, especially in the left-hand corners.
“Halfway through the race, I tried to get closer to the front group and then there was a good battle with Danilo [Petrucci], [Andrea] Iannone and [Alvaro] Bautista.
“The temperature was really high – good training for Malaysia.”
MotoGP heads to Motegi for the Japanese GP on 21 October, followed by races in Australia and Malaysia.
