It’s an all-out Aussie GP assault in 2024 with Australian representation in all three categories – MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.
Of course, the headline act is the return of Jack Miller to the Red Bull KTM team in MotoGP, and we have no doubt he will come out swinging in 2024.
But it’s not just Jack; Australia will be represented in all three categories of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship with 2023 Moto2 European Champion Senna Agius gaining a berth in the well-appointed Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP squad in Moto2 to ride alongside South African Darren Binder.
With four appearances in the Moto2 World Championship during 2022 with the Elf MarcVDS squad and a further five appearances last year with his new Intact squad, there’ll be a certain amount of expectation for the 18-year-old to hit the ground running.
Jacob Roulstone will join Joel Kelso in the Moto3 category in 2024 after the teenager signed for the hugely experienced Red Bull KTM Tech3 team run by Herve Poncharal. With such a coveted ride, he won’t have a lot of time to prove his worth and told AMCN his goal for 2024 is to be Rookie of the Year.
And while it looked as if Joel Kelso might have been packing his bags and heading back to Australia this year, the 20-year-old was thrown a lifeline by the BOE Motorsports team for the 2024 season, teaming up with Spanish sensation David Munoz. However he’ll need to show signs of speed early if he wants to remain in the paddock in 2025.
