Troy is at the sixth round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship to promote the fourth round of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) for when the series heads north on the first weekend of July.
Today at 2:15pm (ACST) time, Herfoss will wow the crowd as he does a few demo laps aboard the Crankt Protein Team Honda Racing CBR1000RR SP machine around the 2.87km circuit.
Herfoss, who currently sits in second place tied on 130-points with Yamaha Racing Team’s Wayne Maxwell, nine points behind JD Racing’s Daniel Falzon yesterday was treated to a ride in one of the Supercars thanks to Albury based team, Brad Jones Racing. The 30-year-old got to ride shotgun with Tim Slade in the #14 Freightliner Racing Holden Commodore.
In addition to Herfoss doing a few laps around the circuit this afternoon, The #8 BIANTE 1:1 machine of Nick Percat will be running the ASBK logo across the front of the windscreen this weekend to also promote the upcoming round of the Australian Superbike Championship.
Herfoss has expressed that he would like to see the return of some two plus four events in the future.
“It would be great to be racing alongside Supercars again,” said Herfoss via the Brad Jones Racing website.
“The crowd, atmosphere and TV audience is just massive and provides motorcycle racing with some great opportunities.”
The fourth round of the Australian Superbike Championship will run from 6-9 July. For more information about the round, head to www.asbk.com.au
