Construction of Stage 1 of the new “Circuit Italia” Raceway has commenced. The $12 million Port Stephens Council approved track will be a 2.9km circuit of uphill sections and down hill high speed corners.
It has been designed and will be built to the highest safety standard (FIA Grade 2), although the track requires a further Development Application (DA) for a permit to include motorcycle use.
The circuit operators have scheduled completion to be the end of October, 2017.
