Husqvarna Australia has issued a recall of various 2017 models, stating some specific bikes may suffer the same brake cylinder defect as KTM.
Product Safety Australia provided the following information:
What are the defects?
Certain batches have hand brake cylinders with defective machining. This can lead to early wear of the sealing cup in the hand brake cylinder, thus leading to impaired braking performance.
What are the hazards?
Impaired braking performance poses a potential accident hazard.
What should consumers do?
The vehicle should be inspected by an authorised HQVA dealer without delay. Please contact a HQVA dealer to arrange a booking and inspection. Should the Handbrake master cylinder batch number show as affected it will be replaced with new quality assured replacement parts FOC .
Customers will be sent a recall notification letter specific to the information and the urgent requirement to have an authorised dealer check the vehicle.
