Indian’s recent new application for a stylised ‘R’ trademark appears to hint at a future sportsbike range. The trademark application, notably filed in sportsbike-oriented Europe rather than cruiser-mad America, is simply the letter ‘R’ in a distinctive, modern font. Indian has already filed trademark applications for the names ‘Renegade’ and ‘Raven’, which are expected to be used on sporting derivatives of the 89.5kW, 1203cc, flat-track-inspired FTR1200.
