2016 Dakar Rally winner and five-time Finke champion Toby Price has partnered with ATV and side-by-side vehicle manufacturer BRP as the official Can-Am Off-Road ambassador for Australia and NZ.
Price is now the proud new owner of a Can-Am Maverick X3 and will make his first official appearance as a Can-Am ambassador at round two of the CAMS Off-Road Championships, The Finke Desert Race, where he will be racing in both the Car & Bike categories for the ‘Finke Double’.
With the latest upgrade to enhance its power to 172 horsepower and zero-to-100 KPH in under 5 seconds, the Can-Am Maverick X3 is the best vehicle in its category. 2017 saw the Can-Am Maverick X3 prove its dominance and performance by walking away with the first 13 finishes at The Finke Desert Race.
“Really stoked to have BRP come onboard with the Can-Am for Finke, it’s a really great tool for us to be able to do a bit of extra pre-running in the desert. It’s an amazing thing, I called into the JWS Powersports the other day and picked up the X3 and I’m really looking forward to being able to get it out for my first run. It will be a great partnership and I can’t wait to see what the X3 is capable of!”
Sam Heyes, Director of Key Accounts and Strategic Priorities at BRP, is ecstatic to have the Off-Road Rally racer join the Can-Am team and for Toby to get behind the Maverick X3 wheel in Alice Springs early next month when he tests his Trophy Truck for the Finke Desert Race.
“BRP is delighted to be associated with Toby and to have him as a brand ambassador for Can-Am and we think he fits the profile of our products extremely well.”
Price is now preparing for the Finke Desert Race 8-11 June.
