BMW Motorrad’s Heritage range will power Melbourne rock band Kingswood through its New South Wales tour, spanning the next five days.
The popular rockers will make full use of the BMW Motorrad Heritage range as they perform across NSW, with Fergus Linacre, Alex Laska, Braiden Michetti and Justin Debrincat to share two brand new models from the R nineT range – the Pure and the Racer – as well as the R nineT and R nineT Scrambler.
The tour will take in Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney and Canberra, the group set to give the new additions to the Heritage range a rockstar welcome to Australia as they travel between gigs.
“We are thrilled to welcome Australian rock legends Kingswood to the BMW Motorrad brand,” said Andreas Lundgren, General Manager BMW Motorrad Australia.
“The R nineT is the ultimate touring companion and is capable of tackling diverse Australian landscape and the urban sprawl. We’re excited to share Kingswood’s experience on the new R nineT Pure and Racer as we anticipate their arrival to Australia,” he said.
Alex Laska Kingswood’s lead guitarist said: “We’re tremendously grateful and excited to have BMW to provide us with these RnineTs, what a way to get between shows. Looking forward to experiencing the wonderful scenes of NSW from two wheels.”
With a ‘less is more’ approach, the R nineT Racer and the R nineT Pure embody the roadster style of the 1960s and 1970s. Powered by the potent 81kW air/oil-cooled boxer engine, combined with a six-speed transmission, the new BMW Heritage models pair classic, old school styling with modern performance.
