2017 World Supersport looks set to bring podiums for MV Agusta Reparto Corse with new riders, PJ Jacobsen (USA) and Alessandro Zaccone (ITA) riding the F3 675 RC. Their F3 675 RC will be the updated 2017 street model that has had an extensive list of updates throughout the chassis, engine and electronics, giving the team a competitive edge.

PJ Jacobsen

The 23 year old Patrick “PJ” Jacobsen from the USA, has completed 3 full seasons in the WorldSSP Championship, collecting 13 podiums, finishing 6th in 2014, 2nd in 2015 and 4th in 2016. Thanks to his qualities of speed and technical expertise, the young American rider will aim to bring the MV Agusta Reparto Corse team on the top of the WorldSSP charts and get the first WorldSSP Title for the Italian manufacturer

Patrick “PJ” Jacobsen – “I’m really looking forward to this new adventure with MV Agusta. To be joining with the Italian manufacturer is a privilege. Already having a test on the bike in Jerez, I felt really comfortable on the bike after a few sessions. I’m really looking forward this year with MV and seeing what we can accomplish. Biography – Born and Raised in Montgomery (NY), in 1993, Patrick Jacobsen started riding at age 3.  In his career Patrick has achieved several milestones, like becoming 125 US Champion, AMA Flat Track Rookie of the Year, entering the MotoGP Academy, finishing 5th at CEV 125 and collecting podiums and wins in BSB Superstock, Supersport and Superbike. In the WorldSSP World Championship, Jacobsen closed 6th in 2014, 2nd in 2015 and 4th in 2016.

PJ has a strong passion for the Dirt Track, and over the years he got over 30 amateur titles in the United States.

Alessandro Zaccone

The 17 year old Italian Alessandro Zaccone, will be lined up in the FIM Europe Supersport Cup 2017: a class inside the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship which will be raced concurrently with the WorldSSP class but only for the European round of the Championship. The young Italian rider will race alongside Patrick “PJ” Jacobsen: the other  MV Agusta Reparto Corse rider attending the WorldSSP class.

Alessandro Zaccone – I’m very happy for this opportunity that Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse gave to me. MV Agusta is a historical brand and becoming part of this team really means a lot to me. I have already had a first contact with the F3 in the last test in Jerez and I immediately found a good feeling with the bike and the team. I really look forward to get back on track for the next test.

Biography – Alessandro Zaccone was born in Rimini in 1999. When he was just 4-years old he started his early career riding a minibike. Over the years, the young rider from Italy gained several trophies and national championships, attracting the interest of some major teams, until he joined the FIM Supersport Cup Europe in 2016.
